Happy 13th Birthday, Leah!

A Blessing for My Niece, Leah

Close your eyes sweet baby, and dream without a care.  The Lord will keep you safe and warm in times when no one's there.

I pray you'll hear His angels singing softly in your ear, of His love and great protection against whatever you may fear.

I pray each day you'll find the strength for each battle to be won, as you learn to trust His wisdom on this journey you've begun.

May you always see the miracles that He sends you every day, through the smallest acts of kindness you encounter on your way.

And never waste a moment "wishing" life was not unfair.  Please trust instead, God has a plan, and answers every prayer.

You many not get - just what you want - we all must give and take.  Perhaps it's in those times, my dear, God's answer is, "Just wait."

Be patient, kind, and loving, to the world and every foe, and God's blessings will come back you, I promise - this I know.

You see, I've prayed for miracles, and now one has come true.  It happened on that glorious day, when God delivered YOU!

Homemade White Bread Recipe (bread machine)

This is the only recipe I use for white bread!  It's so soft and tastes amazing right out of the bread machine with a little bit of soft butter and a pinch of salt. My family will devour a l oaf in a day or 2 if I let them!  Ready In: 25 minutes Ingredients: 6 Yields:  1 loaf Ingredients: 1 c. warm water 2 tsp. yeast 3 T. sugar 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 tsp. salt 3 c. white flour Directions: 1.  Put 1 cup of warm water, 2 teaspoons of yeast, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in your bread machine. Let stand 6-12 minutes (depending on the temperature of your water). Your yeast will foam. 2.  Add the remaining ingredients: 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 3 cups of white flour. 3.  Use a rapid or basic white bread machine cycle, or bake for 25 minutes in the oven at 350° F. 4. Enjoy!
