Why GRiT Should Be Your Next Mouthguard Purchase

A new school year is fast approaching.  Big box stores are advertising their back-to-school sales with the latest discounts on backpacks, shoes, folders, and accessories.  A few chains even advertise discounts on equipment for athletes returning to the field, the court, and the mat.  But do you know which one to choose?

Most store flyers you find in your mailbox offer boil-and-bite mouthguards, with the promise that you will be awarded with the same amount of protection that a custom mouthguard has to offer - without spending more than a few bucks!

Are you buying that?

GRiT MouthGuards doesn't.  In fact, they may be the only dental laboratory that doesn't offer boil-and-bites in their store.  They're not looking to make a quick buck on cheap throwaway "mouthguards" as they know the dental protection just isn't there.

So, which mouthguard is right for you?  Here are a few things to consider before making your purchase.

Protection.  GRiT mouthguards are dentist prescribed, lab designed.  Each is created based on the sport(s) being played, age of the athlete, level of competition, orthodontics, mixed dentition, clefts, missing teeth, and anatomical variations.

Boil-and-bites are one size fits all, boiled in a hot pot of water on your stove at home, and normally come with just one simple color and a simple logo (if any graphics at all).

Custom fit.  Unlike a boil-and-bite, a custom GRiT mouthguard is made from a model of your actual teeth.  This avoids the "clenching" of the mouthguard that comes with a boil-and-bite and allows you to focus on your athletic performance - and not worrying about whether or not your mouthguard will stay in your mouth.

Custom design.  With GRiT mouthguards, the graphic designs are limitless!  Go to gritmouthguards.com, click on "Place Your Order," and you will see the order form is filled to the brim with color choices and layouts.

Competitive pricing.  GRiT is competitive (and fair) when it comes to pricing.  If you think spending $100 to $200 on a mouthguard is expensive, wait until you have to pay $1000's in dental bills for having a tooth knocked out!  It's a chance most parents and athletes do not want to take.

GRiT mouthguards is actively involved online!  Visit them on social media at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr; or place your order via their website at www.gritmouthguards.com.

It's time for everyone to "Get a GRiT on Themselves!"

Six Ways to Achieve any Goal - Forbes.com

Article written by  Molly Cain  Remember that one glorious night not too long ago when you were pumped full of champagne and big ideas? You promised yourself that this would be the year you accomplish (insert goal here) and you resolved to make it happen. And then you shouted something inaudible above the crowd to your friends, kissed a random stranger, and danced the night away. Yep, that night.   It’s now time for a pulse check. How are you doing on (insert goal here)? Have you accomplished it? Are you at least on your  way   to accomplishing it? The year is about 25% complete by the way. Let’s hypothetically say that you gave up on the goal you set for yourself. Or maybe you’ve since set more goals (the less vetted versions of these are called dreams) and now you’re sitting there wasting away doing nothing about them.  We set goals of all calibers for ourselves every single day (heck, this morning I set a goal to remember to eat breakfast). We’...

Homemade White Bread Recipe (bread machine)

This is the only recipe I use for white bread!  It's so soft and tastes amazing right out of the bread machine with a little bit of soft butter and a pinch of salt. My family will devour a l oaf in a day or 2 if I let them!  Ready In: 25 minutes Ingredients: 6 Yields:  1 loaf Ingredients: 1 c. warm water 2 tsp. yeast 3 T. sugar 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 tsp. salt 3 c. white flour Directions: 1.  Put 1 cup of warm water, 2 teaspoons of yeast, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in your bread machine. Just Keep Working

Have you ever had one of those days where nothing has gone right, where everything you touch turns to crap?  It seems like my whole WEEK has been going this way.   I happened to pass by this quote and felt like it was meant for me.  Maybe you're having a tough day or week, too.  Maybe it's meant for you.
