Happy Valentine's Day!

If you know me at all, you know I LOVE olives.  Manzanilla, Kalamata, Liguria - I don't discriminate, I love them all!

I think it all began when Grandma Aderman used to give each of us kids 2 Spanish Manzanilla olives on a toothpick.  The adults were served old fashioned cocktails or whiskey sours with their olives, but I digress.

What does any of this have to do with Valentine's Day?

Well, once again I was surfing one of my favorite social media sites, Pinterest, and came across a Valentine's Day olive printable.  The best part is, you can download it for FREE!  My favorite "F" word!

A special thank you to the Down Home Inspiration blog, for sharing this collection of free kitchen printables which includes berries, pears, oranges, and my olive Valentine below.

Download & share with your olive lover this Valentine's Day.  And thank Down Home Inspiration for the freebie!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Six Ways to Achieve any Goal - Forbes.com

Article written by  Molly Cain  Remember that one glorious night not too long ago when you were pumped full of champagne and big ideas? You promised yourself that this would be the year you accomplish (insert goal here) and you resolved to make it happen. And then you shouted something inaudible above the crowd to your friends, kissed a random stranger, and danced the night away. Yep, that night.   It’s now time for a pulse check. How are you doing on (insert goal here)? Have you accomplished it? Are you at least on your  way   to accomplishing it? The year is about 25% complete by the way. Let’s hypothetically say that you gave up on the goal you set for yourself. Or maybe you’ve since set more goals (the less vetted versions of these are called dreams) and now you’re sitting there wasting away doing nothing about them.  We set goals of all calibers for ourselves every single day (heck, this morning I set a goal to remember to eat breakfast). We’...

Homemade White Bread Recipe (bread machine)

This is the only recipe I use for white bread!  It's so soft and tastes amazing right out of the bread machine with a little bit of soft butter and a pinch of salt. My family will devour a l oaf in a day or 2 if I let them!  Ready In: 25 minutes Ingredients: 6 Yields:  1 loaf Ingredients: 1 c. warm water 2 tsp. yeast 3 T. sugar 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 tsp. salt 3 c. white flour Directions: 1.  Put 1 cup of warm water, 2 teaspoons of yeast, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in your bread machine. Let stand 6-12 minutes (depending on the temperature of your water). Your yeast will foam. 2.  Add the remaining ingredients: 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 3 cups of white flour. 3.  Use a rapid or basic white bread machine cycle, or bake for 25 minutes in the oven at 350° F. 4. Enjoy!

Just Keep Working

Have you ever had one of those days where nothing has gone right, where everything you touch turns to crap?  It seems like my whole WEEK has been going this way.   I happened to pass by this quote and felt like it was meant for me.  Maybe you're having a tough day or week, too.  Maybe it's meant for you.
